Annesia Penright, combines USA and International Volleyball experience to offer comprehensive and dynamic on court training. She is known for being a great motivator and for getting positive results out of her players. Annesia has 14 years of head coaching experience at the Junior Olympic and high school levels.
As one of the nation’s most highly sought after volleyball players from Houston, Texas, Annesia was named to Volleyball Magazine’s FAB 50 player list. She played collegiately at the University of Arkansas and Missouri State West Plains. At Arkansas, Annesia was among the top blockers in the SEC and still ranks top 10 in school history in that category. As Co-Captain at Missouri State, she was selected First Team All-Conference and won several All-Tournament awards.
Annesia graduated from Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and went on to earn her Masters Degree in Physical Education from the University of Houston. During her graduate school years, she toured and competed professionally in Finland, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
After completing her playing career, Annesia started Cool Court Volleyball in 2005 and began building a brand making it possible for aspiring volleyball players in Houston to reach great heights. Cool Court has since expanded and continues to impact players nationwide.
Annesia is an active member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, Lone Star Volleyball, Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Junior Volleyball Director’s Association.
